Dr Gerard D’Cruz will be stepping back from frontline responsibilities as the Clinical Lead for Pembroke Surgery at the end of June 2025 which marks 40 yrs in this role.

Mr Samuel Kingsley a highly experienced Advanced Practitioner now heads up an expanded Team which includes not only GPs but a Clinical Pharmacist, an advanced Musculoskeletal Practitioner, Health Coaches and an expanded Nursing Team which includes our senior nurses Mrs Kim Frewin and Mrs Leah Bolitho returning from Maternity leave in September 2025.

Team members take on lead roles reflecting their expertise. Patients will be aware of a number of recent significant changes in management, overseen by our Operations Manager Mr Lincoln Abraham all of which seek to ensure a responsive compassionate service remains the hallmark of what we strive to provide at Pembroke Surgery.

Dr Gerard will be continuing to provide a minor op service for patients as he has done so over the last 40 years as well as supporting the in-house ultrasound service he pioneered some 20 years ago which is now also being provided by Mr Samuel Kingsley and Mr Ranjish Kumaraswamy.

Dr Gerard remains available to support clinical colleagues in caring for patients with complex needs and he intends to serve out his term as Clinical Director for Reading Central Primary Care Network .
