Supporting GPs

Our full time GPs are assisted by a team of nurses led by Kim Frewin, a nurse prescriber with a background in paediatrics and health visiting.  We currently also utilise a small number of doctors, including a lady doctor who provide sessions for us on a regular basis.

To help us manage the demand for appointments, we have developed a triage system to ensure patients are seen in a timely manner which reflects their clinical need.

Modern General Practice must demonstrate how it supports the public health agenda. While our clinicians rely on an experienced team of admin and community staff to help them do so, we depend on you to respond to invites for periodic check ups, cancer screening tests, and vaccinations. We also have staff trained to help patients review critical life style choices so as to improve the chances of enjoying good health for longer (stop smoking, weight management, curb excess alcohol consumption and commit to regular exercising).
